Chapters day
Chapters Day was a break from the norm and gave students a chance to hear from a variety of presenters on an extremely varied range of topics. A day of workshops, seminars, and activities to promote reading across all subjects for students in Year 9-Year 12.
Example of visiting presenters:
"My time reporting from central Europe"
Journalist Ray Furlong (BBC news on television, World Service, Radio 4, Radio Free Europe) talks about a selection of highlights from his career reporting on some of the world's most important events.
"Jarmila Novotná and the work of the Association of Chateau Liteň"
Ivana Leidlová, founder and president of the Association of Chateau Liteň and executive director of the Jarmila Novotná Festival, will deliver a presentation on the life of one of the Czech Republic's most famous opera singers. She will also share the wonderful work her charity is doing to promote the arts.
And also: A presentation from our special guest: Justin Quinn, published author, poetry translator and literature professor!
