Project Learning In Year 7
OUR FIRST VOLCANO
After researching different methods of making volcanoes we have decided to make it using dough, and lots of it!!! We have placed a plastic bottle inside because we want our volcano to ‘erupt’ vigorously. We are planning to compare two methods of ‘explosions’. One with coke and Mentos inside the bottle, and the second one with Bicarbonate of Soda and vinegar. We want to make a little video out of it as well.

MY VOLCANO PROJECT
I made a Volcano Model out of some dough. I didn’t put a bottle inside because I decided to make a model only, without any chemical reactions. As a consequence, my volcano ended up a bit flat. I fixed it though as much as
I could. I painted the volcano and when the paint dried I used the orangey-red playdough to make the lava. My volcano turned out a bit different from my expectations but I still like it!!!
